Kajonkiet International School (KIS) is committed to ensuring that all students can access their education in an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment. We recognise that each child has a unique learning style, and as educators, it is our responsibility to adapt our approach to meet the individual needs of every student.
At KIS, the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) department focuses on three key pillars to ensure effective support: student care, parent involvement, and staff collaboration. Each of these components is essential to the success of our students. We are dedicated to providing tailored support and services for students with special educational needs. We are proud to have our own qualified speech and language therapist, ensuring that students with communication difficulties receive specialist support tailored to their needs.
The SEN team follows an Assess-Plan-Do-Review model to ensure that interventions and best practices are continuously implemented and updated as progress is made. This cycle allows us to regularly assess student needs, plan and implement targeted strategies, and review outcomes to refine our approach.
Our SEN provision includes 1:1 or small group sessions that target specific areas of need, as well as in-class support to help students engage with and access learning within their classrooms. Through these interventions, we aim to empower all students to reach their full potential.
